Production Workshop brings together the various disciplines employed in the art of music production and focuses the student on a two, multi-faceted semester long multi-media projects (one in Fall and one in Spring).

Fall 2006

The student will be assigned (by the Instructor) several different film clips taken from previously released movies. The student is to re-score, re-record, produce, and re-edit the film clips so that a new movie is created. Musical and visual continuity is essential. The students’ skills at sound engineering, composition, musicianship and film editing.

Class will meet at designated times/days TBA.

Grades will be based on attendance, quality of work (including the timely delivery of each segment), class participation. Attendance is required at all class meetings.

Spring 2007

The student will be assigned (by the Instructor) the task of writing, scoring, recording, producing and editing a 10-minute short film. The students’ skills as sound engineer, record and film producer, film director, music and film composer, musician, screen writer and film editor will be tested.

Class will meet at designated times/days TBA.

Grades will be based on attendance, quality of work (including the timely delivery of each segment), class participation. Attendance is required at all class meetings.
